Account Manager

As an Account Manager you will be required to be in daily contact with your clients to understand their businesses and objectives. Your role will require you to build relationships with multiple contacts in each client account.

You will be expected to take part in pitching ideas to clients, so a confident attitude is necessary to promote the agency’s ideas and benefits.

This is a fast-paced environment that is both demanding and fulfilling, involving the co-ordination of internal and external staff. The agency will also depend on you to give your projects direction to achieve the very best outcome for the client.

A role as an Account Manager can be demanding, sometimes feeling like you are spinning ten plates, so real motivation is required to thrive and enjoy the role.

This is mainly an office-based role, however you will be required to spend time in meetings and briefings that may take place at the clients’ location.

Working hours will be standard office times; however, deadlines may stretch this further on some occasions.

Main Responsibilities

  • The day-to-day management of clients’ marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Pro-active thinking that encourages growth of the account.
  • Regular communication and liaison with clients at a senior level.
  • Taking part in pitching fresh and innovative ideas to clients alongside the wider team.
  • Managing projects to completion on time, within an agreed budget.
  • Using your knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive direction.
  • Generating accurate reports.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • At least 1 years’ experience in an agency in a client relationship management role.
  • A solid background in advertising, design or marketing.
  • A confident approach to creative projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints.
  • Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms.
  • The willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideas.
  • The ability to work in a busy team.

You must have a driving license and access to your own vehicle as the office is not accessible using public transport
